The good
This thing is super sturdy and I feel like it will become a family heirloom. It holds heat well, and go from stove to oven, and is great for baking bread
Nitpicks
Sometimes the rooster hits the top of the oven because it is kind of high-profile, but it is also pretty cute and works well as a handle. Also it is expenssive
Why this one?
My mom offered to buy me a dutch oven as a gift, so I felt like I could have a budget that was higher than what I would normally feel comfortable spending. I knew I wanted the oval shape (for making chicken!) and I knew I wanted something that was high quality and looked nice. I ultimately picked Staub because it was still made in France.
