The good
Sometimes you want to slice something really thin, this works for that.
Nitpicks
You're going to cut yourself. Just accept that it will happen at least once. Some people buy gloves, I don't think anyone uses the guard. Also I have kind of tried the julienne blades and they never really work for me - but that might be a me problem
Why this one?
Because it is the best mandoline - its what chefs in restaurants use. It is solid and sharp and not too big
